EN [ENA] United Arab Emirates Union Day among the seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah, is celebrated annually on December 2nd. In the three dedicated days, the martyrs are also celebrated (December 1) and the adoption of the current flag (December 3).

The unification was led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, recognized as both the founding father of the current United Arab Emirates in 1971, and the inspirer of the current thriving nation. To celebrate the UAE's National Day, the government of all seven different Emirates plan a variety of activities throughout the week. Inevitable,the visual show, which celebrates and respects the life and achievements of the Emirati founding father, the late Sheik Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Some of the thrilling activities include performances by Khaleeji's top entertainers, art festivals, theater performances, desert safaris, water sports activities, and more!

The celebrations of the 49th International UAE Day 2020 -Called Seeds of the Union, the live production will feature a digitally lit sculpture in motion surrounded by the sea. A breathtaking show will be broadcast live in the UAE to an audience of millions. The COVID-19 restrictions played an important role in the development of the event, ensuring that the entire country can still participate in the celebration of National Day in safety. Before the formation of the United Arab Emirates in 1971,the country was known as the Trucial States - a collection of sheikhs that stretched from the Strait of Hormuz westward along the Persian Gulf.
